Psyche-Soma-Sol : Unlocking the Potential of the Limbic System Using Brain Retraining and Holistic Mind, Body, Spirit and Nature Modalities

Introduction

Definition of the Limbic System

The limbic system is a complex network of structures located deep within the brain. It is responsible for regulating many of the automatic processes that keep us alive and healthy, such as breathing, heart rate and digestion, as well as many of our emotions and behaviors. It is also involved in memory and learning, and is the primary source of motivation for all of our behaviors. The limbic system is composed of several structures, including the hypothalamus, hippocampus, amygdala, septal nuclei, and cingulate gyrus. Together, these structures work together to create a complex feedback loop that helps us to interpret and respond to the world around us.
