Effective virtual communication is a cornerstone of modern education and professional workspaces. This course provides a comprehensive guide to mastering Google Meet, ensuring that both educators and professionals can navigate digital environments with confidence and skill. The journey begins with a thorough orientation of the platform's interface, where you will learn to manage meeting links, browser permissions, and core controls for audio, video, and chat. Building upon these fundamentals, the programme explores the nuances of joining and participating well. You will discover how to conduct essential pre-join checks, utilise accessibility features such as captions, and demonstrate appropriate meeting behaviour that fosters an inclusive and productive atmosphere.

Beyond basic participation, leading a successful virtual session requires robust hosting and presentation capabilities. As you progress, the focus shifts to the critical responsibilities of a meeting host. You will learn how to organise clear expectations, manage participant entry, and respond proportionately to disruptive behaviour, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all attendees. Additionally, the course delves into safe presentation practices, teaching you how to differentiate between sharing a tab, a window, or an entire screen. By selecting the narrowest useful sharing option, you will protect sensitive information, minimise accidental disclosures, and maintain audience focus.

To ensure these skills translate seamlessly into your daily routine, the final modules emphasise practical application. You will be guided through a complete workflow for joining and hosting calls, adapting your approach to suit the specific demands of either an educator-led classroom or a confidential professional meeting. By culminating in the creation of a personalised pre-meeting checklist, this course empowers you to consistently deliver focused, secure, and highly effective Google Meet sessions.
